Project example security and protection
Ensuring greater safety at a lorry and car rest area
Surveillance of a large lorry service area on the A2 motorway
Prevention of cargo theft and greater safety for professional drivers
The service area was repeatedly the scene of lorry break-ins. Televisions, computers and sports equipment were stolen. The police only caught a few thieves in the act. A video radio system was installed to monitor the motorway service area:
- Monitoring the lanes and car parks
- Creation of a communication infrastructure for the camera data
- Recording of cargo thefts
- Prevention of diesel thefts from the tanks of articulated lorries
- Fulfilment of insurance company requirements
Other possible applications
Project monitoring - Tunnels - Early detection of forest fires
Object monitoring
In addition to the many mobile applications of the MRX family, stationary applications are also a growing trend. For property surveillance, remote areas can also be accessed via the Mesh, even if they are several kilometres away:
- Live images and voice data are sent to a receiving centre integrated into the mesh and analysed there.
- The redundant system compensates for route failures without the need for external intervention.
- Protection against eavesdropping through AES 256 encryption.
- The consumption of the individual relay stations is <20W.
- The hardware is fanless and maintenance-free.
Monitoring of tunnelling facilities
A "string of pearls" of MRX stations can be used to monitor tunnels, even if they are several kilometres long. By using cameras, live images - which have detected an accident or smoke development, for example - can be sent to a receiving centre via the mesh system:
- The failure of routes is compensated for by the redundant system without the need for external intervention.
- Clients who recognise the mesh key can use this infrastructure and join the mesh.
- The consumption of the individual relay stations is <20W.
- The hardware is fanless and maintenance-free.
Early detection of forest fires
Monitoring larger rural areas such as forests, moors or mountain landscapes where there is no infrastructure, but where monitoring via cameras is necessary. With its high protection class and equipped hardware and software, the MRXcompact has been designed precisely for these applications.
