At events, the focus is on the safety of participants and emergency forces. Here, a mobile, flexible, broadband, secure and ad-hoc available communication and data network is required. During operations, the security forces must be coordinated and supported in a targeted manner. With an ad-hoc available network, it is possible to react immediately and contain the danger as quickly as possible. This meshed network works autonomously and can be operated for a short or long period of time.
The application shows the monitoring of a larger area via cameras that are connected to a meshed network via several MRX devices. Two of the MRX devices are operated here via a power supply (UPS300), which can feed one camera and one MRX for up to 20 hours. The cameras are connected via the PoE interfaces on the MRX.
Each MRX has three connections here, so that the system works redundantly and is safe from failures. Images, data or live streaming is possible via the mesh and reaches the evaluation unit even over several kilometres. Sensitive data is protected via AES encryption and only reaches the stations that know the mesh key and are part of the system. In the event of a malfunction, the system forms and heals itself. It is also very low-consumption, maintenance-free and noiseless.
